Shahdan leads Vodafone Egypt Foundation’s ambitious mission to empower communities and create social impact through technology and innovation, working to improve youth access to knowledge and skills through formal and non-formal learning opportunities, as well as leveraging technology in the development of the health sector and in emergency response. With a deep-rooted passion for social impact, Shahdan has spearheaded numerous initiatives that bridge the digital divide and create opportunities for vulnerable populations in Egypt. Under her leadership, the Vodafone Egypt Foundation has grown its footprint significantly, developing strategic partnerships with government agencies, NGOs, private sector players, and local foundations to deliver impactful and scalable. Throughout her tenure, Shahdan has championed programmes and initiatives that improve digital literacy, AI, as well as increase access to quality education, and promote the culture of entrepreneurship. With over 20 years of professional experience in the development sphere, working for UN agencies, bilateral-donors and civil society organizations, she has driven strategic change across programmes in the fields of youth empowerment, education, Edtech, gender equality and civic engagement.
