Stéphanie Boustany – Project, Research and Communications Specialist, UNDP Regional Bureau for Arab States

Stéphanie Boustany is a development professional with over 12 years of experience at UNDP’s Regional Bureau for Arab States, focusing on knowledge, skills development, and sustainable development.

In her current role, she contributes to the design, implementation, and strategic positioning of the Knowledge Project, a flagship partnership between UNDP and the Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum Knowledge Foundation. Her work includes leading initiatives such as the Global Knowledge Index, and coordinating research, data analysis, and communications efforts that inform policy dialogue and decision-making at regional and global levels.

Stéphanie has extensive experience in development research, index design, and the production of evidence-based knowledge products. She works closely with policymakers, international organizations, academia, and private-sector partners to ensure that data and insights are translated into practical and policy-relevant outputs.

Her areas of expertise include data analysis, development research, composite indices, strategic communications, and knowledge-for-development programming.

Stéphanie holds an MSc in Sustainable Development from SOAS University of London and a BA in Economics from Notre Dame University, Lebanon.
