Head of the Scientific Research and Innovation Sector, Misrelkheir Foundation
Nagwa A. ElSayed has been working in the field of scientific research project funding since 2008. Nagwa is currently working as the head of the Scientific Research and Innovation Sector at Misrelkheir Foundation. She is responsible for many programs to fund world-class scientific research projects with high societal impact and promote the culture of scientific research and innovation and support innovators and technology startups solving social challenges. Previously, she worked in the Science and Technology Development Fund (STDF) in the Planning and Monitoring Department from 2008 to 2011, where she was responsible for reporting about STDF’s status to the management and monitoring STDF achievements in alignment with the plan.
From 2002 to 2008, she worked in the Science and Technology Center in the Academy of Scientific Research and Technology in the information technology field. From 1990 till 2002 she worked in several USAID projects in the field of information technology with the Academy of Scientific Research and Technology, Egyptian Electricity Authority, and the Ministry of Industry and Foreign Trade.
Nagwa holds a Doctor of Business Administration (DBA) in Strategic Management from the American International Theism University, a Master's in Business Administration (MBA) from the International Business Administration of Switzerland (IBAS) and a Diploma in Management of Technology from Nile University. She is a Microsoft Certified System Engineer and has a B.Sc. in Computer Science from the American University in Cairo. She took several courses in Project Management Professional (PMP), Millennium Manager, and strategic planning for NGOs.
