Maysaa Nemer is an Assistant Professor and Director of the Institute of Community and Public Health and the MPH Program at Birzeit University. She holds a PhD in Public Health - Occupational Epidemiology and MPhil in International Community Health from the University of Oslo, Norway.
Her research focuses on a range of public health topics where women and adolescents are the main focus. This includes environmental and occupational health, social and economic aspects of environmental exposures, the effects of environmental and structural factors on working women’s health, gender awareness among healthcare providers, the aspects of data governance and human rights in digital health initiatives for women’s health services, and ethical issues surrounding adolescent health data privacy.
